NounHunter Privacy Policy
NounHunter is a game for learning English words. This policy explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you play.
The short version
We do not collect any personal information about you. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no crash reporting of our own. Nothing you do in the game is sent to us.
What we do not collect
NounHunter does not:
- ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details;
- create an account on any server of ours (we do not run any servers);
- use analytics, usage statistics or crash-reporting tools;
- show ads or use advertising identifiers;
- track you across other apps or websites;
- use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos;
- sell, share or rent any information to anyone.
What stays on your device
To keep your game going, NounHunter saves your progress on your device: things like your hunter name, gold, outlaws caught, stars, outfits, upgrades and settings (language, sound, voice). This is stored only on your device. We cannot see it.
You can erase your progress at any time with Reset progress in the game, or by deleting the app.
Apple services the game uses
NounHunter uses a few Apple services so the game works across your devices. These are run by Apple, not by us, and are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game uses it to recognise you as a player and to show your Game Center nickname. Signing in is optional; you can play as a guest. We do not receive your Apple Account details.
If you are signed in, a copy of your game progress is saved in your own iCloud account (through Game Center saved games or iCloud storage), so it can carry over to your other devices. It lives in your iCloud, not with us, and we cannot read it.
If you buy the Full game, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The game only learns whether the Full game has been bought, so it can unlock it.
Crash and usage data from Apple
NounHunter has no crash reporting of its own. Separately, Apple lets you choose to share crash and usage data with app developers (on iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers). If you turn this on, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports that do not identify you. If you leave it off, we receive nothing. This choice is yours and is controlled by Apple, not by the game.
Children
NounHunter is suitable for children. Because the game collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. There are no ads, no chat and no links that let children share information. The links to the purchase terms and this policy are on the store screen.
Changes to this policy
If the game ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and change the effective date above before the change reaches the App Store.
